The Lightning Thief

Percy and his friends are heading west to Cali.  On their way they find all types of monster.  The first they face are three female vampires who are waiting for them right outside camp half blood.  While in camp, Percy is giving a pen that magically transforms into a high tech sword.  This was a gift from Poseidon.  Percy and his friends defeat the vampires and continue on with their trip.  Percy had disappeared from his house in New York so his picture was all over the news.  When they took a bus to California, Percy’s picture was all over.  They had to escape fast because Percy was in fear he would be taken to his step dad.  Accidentally they forgot their belongings which included their money.  Now they had no way to go to California.  They decided they were going to walk for a while and see what came up.  The only thing that came up was more monsters.  They came to a store that had lots of sculptures on the garden and they decided to go in…

I liked this chapter because there is a lot going on.  This chapter kept me reading more and more.

    This book is so wird Jonathan. Its something so fake, but you know you can have fun reading this books. Although what kind of monsters whare there?

    This book is so cool but I still don't get how they get to go all over the place and not get in trouble right. I wish I could do that. Some questions that I still have are like where do they get the money from? Or What do the normal people see couse can see becasue of the MIST? I still can figure out those answers do you have any ideas?
