The Kite Runner

The Kite Runner takes place in Afghanistan.  It is the story of two kids who neither have a mother.  Amir is the son of a well known and respected gentleman.  Hassan is Amir’s servant but the family treats him and his father as part of the family.  The two kids always played together but Amir never had called Hassan his friend.
“But he is not my friend! I almost blurted.  He’s my servant!” Hosseini41.
To me this quote really says a lot about Amir.  He only plays with Hassan when he has no one to play with.  He is a spoil kid who just thinks about himself.

  1. This story seems interesting and I think people who are like Amir should read this book so they can take a look of how bad a person they are. What made you read this book Jonathan? and what happened to the second book of the Lighting Thief aren't you going to read it?
